first post (everybody say yeeaahhh-yuuhh)

This is a bit of a challenge. I’m sort of hungry, but my want for a late afternoon snack is currently being overridden by my excitedness (don’t think this is an actual word, but you know what I mean) to finally show you some of the things we’ve been up to for the past few weeks. If you have us on Facebook, chances are you’ve noticed the lack of updates, and for this we apologize. We’ve been juggling tying up the (hopefully final) loose ends on our website, putting this blog together, going on shoots, and making sure that all the families and couples we’ve worked with so far get their pictures on time. It’s been pretty hectic, and even though May is starting to show signs of becoming a busier month for us, I’m going to make it a point to update this blog regularly.

Ok, back to why we’re here in the first place… Here are pictures from some of our latest family sessions:

Amin, Yasmin, and their son, Amar. Amar is just too adorable. He was not, however, a big fan of the lady who kept calling his name and pointing a big black box at him (>>me). With the help of his awesome Mom and Dad, though, I managed to win him over. They had biscuits, and Hindi music, which he was more than happy to bounce to. Haha. This family was a real a joy to work with.

Dani and Batrisyah. These two are my cousins. I’ve been taking their pictures pretty much all their life. I couldn’t and still cannot believe at how much and how fast they’ve grown. Dani has just entered Secondary School and has been taller than me for a while now (I don’t know where this tall gene comes from, but it apparently skipped me and ONLY ME). Batrisyah will soon be catching up with her sister. She loves to sing and draw and is very attached to her pink Nintendo DS.

It was pretty impossible to tell that day if they were more excited about their photo shoot or their pettiskirts.

Danial, Fifi, Insyirah and Damian - a shy and lovely bunch, these four. About a month after bringing her youngest to our home studio for a newborn session, our friend Anna decided to get pictures taken of the rest of her kids. Abdillah and I were both there for this shoot, and we were really happy that we were finally able to meet them.

I’ll be posting up more pictures soon. Now it’s time for some coffee and my long-awaited blueberry donut.

Thanks for looking, everybody!
